To help accomplish this mission, we are searching for a Production Associate responsible for assisting with activities associated with our coating operation. This may include masking parts, mechanical cleaning of parts, loading and unloading parts to and from their coating process. Job also may include counting, sorting, assembling and packing of parts.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. This position involves managing inventory, coordinating transportation, and optimizing logistics operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any concerns.
- Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Forklift and Material Handling as needed, Store/warehouse parts with a forklift using a bin location racking system
- Physically identify parts
- Sort / Count parts, Maintain traceability of parts
- Reporting defects, accidents and violations
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record not required but preferred.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of manual transmission operation preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of trucks including flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
- Ability to speak, read and write English language
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted
- Standing, stooping, bending and reaching overhead
