QUICK DETAILS – LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE at BOXWOOD LANE

Hourly Rate: $18-$22/hour based on experience and skillset

Hours: 3rd shift – 10 pm to 6:30 am with some flexibility

AMZ Manufacturing (located at 100 Boxwood Lane, York PA 17402) is seeking a Logistics Associates / Material Handlers who is independent, driven, and has computer know-how. The ideal candidate for the 3rd shift role would be self-sufficient and able to perform heavy labor, including wrapping skids, moving parts with a pallet jack and forklift, etc. This person must thrive with little to no supervision and be able to self-direct their work once trained.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive customer product electronically and physically identify parts
  • Perform necessary shipping duties to meet customer deliveries, paperwork, AMZ vehicles, LTL or Parcel
  • Package parts to ensure appropriate delivery and prevent damage
  • Use manual pallet jack and perform shrink wrapping and banding of parts
  • Communicate directly with the customer for pickup
  • Complete necessary transactions on customer’s web site (portal) when required
  • Read, interpret, and understand drawings and specifications
  • Understand the production schedule for reference
  • Understand and process internal job packets from receipt to billing
  • Store and/or warehouse parts with a forklift using a bin location racking system
  • Maintain data of location on parts stored in the warehouse
  • Execute expedites as necessary
  • Sort / Count parts and maintain traceability
  • All other duties as assigned

SKILLS

  • Forklift experience required
  • Good communication skills to work with the team
  • Competent in data entry with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Ability to speak, read and write English language
  • Prefer a valid PA Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted
  • Stand, stoop, bend and reach overhead frequently
  • Frequent movement on and off forklift
